Welcome to New Dawn!
In 2005, New Dawn established the first multidisciplinary and comprehensive outpatient eating disorders treatment program in Marin County. Under the leadership and clinical excellence of Erin Elfant-Rea, PhD and her experienced full time staff of Registered Dieticians, Licensed Psychologists and psychotherapists, hundreds of patients from all over the San Francisco Bay Area have already been successfully treated. In anticipation of the opening of our residential program, Diana Amodia, MD joined New Dawn in the summer of 2008 as our Medical Director, bringing her more than 20 years of experience specializing in the treatment of women with complex medical conditions, including eating disorders.
New Dawn is the only eating disorders treatment facility in Northern California that offers the full continuum of care for eating disorders recovery, from Residential Treatment, to Day Treatment, to our Intensive Outpatient Program and outpatient services. Each level of care utilizes a multidisciplinary approach with individualized treatment plans that address the medical, psychological, nutritional, and interpersonal needs of each patient. Our outpatient programs are sensitive to the schedule demands of each person, with group offerings at different times of the day.
