Diana Amodia, MD
Diana Amodia, MD, approaches patient care from an integrative medicine perspective which she defines as “one that addresses the biological, psycho-spiritual, cultural and societal influences on health and well-being. The healing process requires balancing each of these aspects of being and their interrelationships with one another.”
Diana is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. However, her experience in working with complex, chronic medical conditions revealed to her the limitations of conventional interventions alone in patient care. As a result, she sought formal training in acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapies, nutritional therapies, meditation, Reiki, fitness techniques and indigenous healing modalities to complement and to broaden her scope of practice.
With over twenty years of experience managing complex medical conditions, Diana honed her skills in the treatment of eating disorders, substance abuse and addictive disorders and women’s health issues. At New Dawn, Diana is available to see patients who are and are not enrolled in the program. With respect to the latter, she invites working with patients who are not ready for a commitment to the program but who may wish to transition into the program later. Additionally, she continues to follow patients from her previous practice.
